Revolution: Miles & Monroe A Bromance for the Ages

It's all Cain and Abel stuff you know how it is...

Twitter fans of Revolution started a #MiloeFriday trend in honor of their love for the bromance of Miles and Monroe. These two may not be blood but they're just like real brothers: they love and hate each other all the time.

Miles has once again saved Bass from himself

Bass and Miles have been friends ever since they were little kids. At the time, Bass was an only child. I assume that his twin sisters came around when he was a teenager. So when he lost them in that car crash, Miles was the closest thing to a family he'll ever have. Yet although Bass loves Miles he still can't help but be jealous of the things he has and that includes women. Bass and Miles have shared women like people share bowling shoes. But I also think Bass's desire for Miles's girls also goes on a deeper level which is his biggest fear: Miles will leave him behind and Bass will be alone.

My thoughts exactly, Miles

The jokes never end with these guys. Doesn't matter if they're fighting or discussing battle strategies, Bass or Miles's banter is gold. Especially in Season 2 when instead of being the cool, power mad, yet buttoned up dictator we got the smart mouthed, steely eyed killer. I guess it's what he used to be like before the Monroe Republic. Monroe's fall from his throne allowed him to be on the same footing as Miles again and I guess it reminded Bass of how great friends they used to be. Which is why I think Bass not only wanted his son to rebuild the Monroe Republic but also have Miles by his side once again.

"If you're dying I'm dying with you."

Yet despite all their fighting, Bass and Miles make one hell of a team. They've run into battle together, facing a hailstorm of bullets and always pulled each other's asses out of the fire. Whatever their issues, Miles and Bass know that when it comes down to it, they'll have each other's backs in the heat of battle. Bass is extremely loyal to Miles. He threatened to blow Neville's brains out in "Memorial Day" if he didn't put his gun down. Bass chose Miles over his own son. So in the end (although I hope it's not the end) the bromance of Miles and Monroe has proven that it may be on again off again but when it counts, they'll stand by each other.

This love/hate bromace is a vicious cycle but we love them for it.
