TVD: Will Enzo Return?

It's nice to have a sexy diabolical British accent again to make us swoon

           After Klaus left, the show seemed empty without a sexy maniacal British accent around to keep our Mystic Falls gang on their toes. But then came Enzo (Michael Malarkey). 

Klaus used to sit all sexy and evil like that

        Enzo was a nice welcome into the TVD Family. Already fans adore him but when Enzo forced Stefan to tear his heart out we all thought that would be the end! Nope. Enzo is hanging out on the Other Side, which is tearing at the seams, and ready to torture Damon, Elena, and Stefan for all eternity (or at least until he's dragged into nothingness).

          Enzo is a pretty decent guy who loves life. Strangely he never turned off his humanity making him a loyal friend and let's face it, after Alaric died Damon needed a new drinking buddy. And I loved how Enzo flirted with Caroline: "I heard you had a thing for accents." We all do! Caroline seems to attract the bad boys with accents. Also like Klaus, Enzo is a hopeless romantic. He wanted to find his old girlfriend, Maggie who was a human that helped Dr. Whitman with his horrible experiments. He compelled her to go even though turning her into a vampire would have gotten him out of his prison sooner. Enzo was willing to do anything to see Maggie again even though she would have been an elderly woman. "I don't want to date her, Caroline. I want to thank her." Maggie's was the face that kept Enzo from giving up and turning off his humanity.

       But Damon realized that he had murdered Maggie. After years of resisting the urge to shut off his humanity, Enzo finally flipped the switch. Now Enzo is even more of a threat. But he's not entirely hopeless. Damon said he would find a way to bring Enzo back to the world of the living since the Other Side is ripping apart. I hope that means Enzo will stick around for Season 6.
