Dominion: Micca The Sunken Ship

The writers sunk my ship!
It seemed that Becca and Michael were going to be one of those star crossed supernatural couples wasn't it? That they would fight to be together? Nope! The Micca ship sunk faster than the Titanic after the Archangel snapped the pretty doctor's neck in a fit of blind rage. Of course once he awoke from berserker mode he saw what he did and was so horrified that he "Seacrested Out" and is now on a journey to nowhere in particular.

Michael is capable of love but also of intense hate

Although I kinda expected Becca to die (every other character was still fair game) I didn't expect it would be Michael to do her in. There were times when I liked Becca. She stood up to Whele, sacrificed her relationship with Michael, then lied for him too but then I hated her for what she did to poor Louis. I'm actually shocked Becca did that to be honest. At first it seemed that David was blackmailing her to research angel anatomy but then she got more into it. She even got Riesen on board and started reporting to him directly. You would think that since she was sleeping with an angel that she would see that not all angels are bad but it seems like everyone else she can't tell one good angel from a bad one. I'll chalk that up to being traumatized by the eight balls but they're just a bunch of rabid dogs. Higher angels have more intelligence and grapple with their own consciences.

Is this like rubbing her nose in it? Bad Becca!

Although I hate what Becca did I know she did it to protect Vega. The road to hell is paved with such intentions isn't it? And though Michael had every right to be angry he kind of went over board. We recently discovered that Michael has an uncontrollable anger and when he gets mad you better run for cover. Yet he managed to keep his temper in check. His past is so dark that Michael didn't believe he deserved any kind of love. But Becca showed him that not only could he be loved but that he was capable of showing and feeling love. I think for Michael it was a conflict of identity. He chose to fight for humans but that didn't mean he stopped being an angel. He still cared about his kind and it really upset him to see them murdered in such a horrific way then gunned down while trying to flee. They were innocent. Suddenly Michael realized that the humans he was protecting were probably as bad as the angels they were fighting. Anyone would be torn. Seeing Louis like that not only made Michael lose his cool but suddenly question who he is and his place in this war.

Michael goes all TVD on us and snaps her neck!

Right now Michael is on the run trying to figure things out. He is right about the war not being angels vs humans but what's right and wrong. In this case Becca was in the wrong in a huge way. Louis didn't deserve that torture. No matter how you look at it this was a huge betrayal to Michael. Of course Michael was in the wrong too. Okay murder Becca that's kind of justified (still wrong) but killing those guards was unnecessary and so was going after Alex, the person who was supposed to be his redemption as Michael put it. I think Michael was helping Alex in a selfish way. He claimed that it was for mankind's second chance but mostly it was about guilt. If he helped the humans win then it would make up for Michael's bloody past. Michael should know by now that sometimes humans have a darkness in them but some humans like Jeep and Alex have a light that shines through that darkness and that's worth saving. We need a season 2 so we can see what Michael does next. Will he just stay out of the war and let it play out or will he pull himself together and try to help Alex redeem mankind?

"Oh crap..."

"Love is patient, love is kind"
Whoever wrote that was never in love.
