TV Predictions & Aspirations

A lot of shows premiered and some are on their third season. But because of the Olympics those shows are on hiatus while some try to take the games head on. So here are some of my predictions and aspirations of shows.

FOX

The Following has taken a dive in viewers; it's second season has become a disappointment. I wouldn't be surprised if the raven cried "Nevermore" on this one.

Enlisted looks like it's head is on the chopping block despite its comedy. It should have been advertised more, giving it a fighting chance. I salute you guys.

Almost Human has caused some nervousness among fans who have been growing more passionate about the show's fate. Yet when it went up against the Olympics, viewer numbers have remained steady and consistent. While they may not get a 22 episode set, I am cautiously optimistic that this new cult series will be given a chance. All fans have to do is tweet to FOX with #renewalmosthuman before and during each episode.

NBC

Grimm has had talk about being close to being cut but I don't think NBC would jump the gun so easily. I feel Grimm has a strong fan base.

Revolution has to be one of my favorite shows but it is in danger of being cancelled. However, fans of the show have been fighting hard to keep it. Scheduled trends and hash tags have been blowing up Twitter recently (me being among them). I'm not too worried about it.

Dracula has been given the stake I hear. I'm sad to say I saw it coming. Yet the producers of the show only intended one season anyway and while they would have loved a second season I think they've accomplished their goal.

Community has lost Chevy Chase but that doesn't stop fans from supporting this cult hit. Greendale may yet stay open.

ABC

Once Upon A Time has remained strong so I wouldn't be surprised if it was given more seasons. This show has fans under its spell.

Once Upon A Time in Wonderland on the other hand has not been doing as expected. The number of viewers have not been as good as the network expected for it's spin off. I think it's an okay show. They still have time to turn it around and it's going up against it's own parent, which already has a deep fan base. The hiatus may hurt its chances though. The White Rabbit may dig a whole to burry this one.

Revenge for me has gone from hot to cold, but that doesn't mean it won't be given another season. Telling a story about revenge that lasts over the course of years can get stale but I'm confident that the writers can keep throwing fans some curve balls. I wouldn't put the cap on that red marker just yet.

Scandal has remained strong. I tip my white hat to Olivia Pope.

Agents of SHIELD was touch and go for a few weeks but producers have been talking positive future so we may relax and chill in Tahiti.

CBS

Elementary has come very close to being cut. Fans will have to work over time to save the show from its own murder.

NCIS has been consistent and strong, but without Ziva I wouldn't be surprised if numbers dropped a little. The show needs a Gibbs head slap.

The CW

The Vampire Diaries has remained The CW's number 1 show so no funeral planned for TVD for a long time.

The Originals have increased in fandom and have been confirmed for a second season. TVD fans continue to support the Original family always and forever.

Beauty and the Beast numbers have been inconsistent and will need something big to keep itself on the air. But it has won a few awards so that may tip in it's favor. I would suggest for fans to save each other and beast up!

Supernatural has risen from the ranks and has put down nay-sayers with it's passionate fans (me among them). This show keeps its head on its shoulders.

Reign is teetering on the fence. Although it was confirmed for a 22 episode set, whether or not it will get to stay on its throne is up for debate.

Tomorrow People also has an unsure future. It needs to levitate those numbers up.

Arrow has remained strong and now has a spin off, Flash. This show continues to hit its mark.

SyFy

Lost Girl is a Canadian show that airs on American channel SyFy. Since it's on at 10 pm I don't think it'll go anywhere just yet. It's sexual content (girl on girl, girl on boy, etc) will keep it turned on.

Being Human I feel has slipped in terms of story. I don't think it will survive much longer.

Haven has been confirmed for it's fifth season and will return with producers promising an epic season. That may mean a final season though. It's a mystery.

TNT

Dallas has returned despite the death of its biggest star. Season 3 looks promising. I have faith in John Ross's ability to become the new big bad everyone loves to hate and also he's sexy on the eyes. So let the oil flow.

Rizzoli & Isles will survive. One of its stars may have died but crime shows like these tend to survive death.

USA

Covert Affairs has become dull. It's harsh to say but it's true. The original storyline was great but somehow Annie's first lover, Ben has gotten lost in CIA filing. The show may just be redacted if it hasn't already.

White Collar has stolen the heart of its audience so I believe the smooth criminal can relax.

Suits has had many a hiatus but it's fandom has remained strong throughout. Pearson/Specter has won another case.

Psych is on its last season. Time to put that pineapple in the blender, make a smoothie and have a nice long retirement.

Royal Pains I'm on the fence about but I'm not that much worried. Given how the last episode ended and how events have been going I think the writers and producers won't call it in.

History Channel

Vikings has invaded the hearts of many. While only intended for one season, Vikings 2nd season will hit the shores soon.

All networks care about is money and how they make money is through viewers. Sometimes I think rumors of cancellations are a test for fans to see how passionate they are so the producers can see if they can make money off of this. Make sure you show your support for your show.
