The Originals: The Powers of the Mikaelson Baby

I feel like it's only been a few weeks but already we're in months.

I admit that like Klaus I wasn't too thrilled about the Mikaelson baby, but now it's starting to grow on me. Especially since this baby girl may run the world.

This baby can make hybrids!?

First we discover that while in Hayley's womb, whenever Hayley is injured, the baby's vampire blood heals her more quickly than Hayley's werewolf blood. Then Tyler decided to test out a theory about the baby. Apparently the Mikaelson baby can make hybrids but unlike Klaus who was bound by the Petrova Doppelgänger bloodline, all the baby needs is someone's blood, doesn't really matter who as long as they're alive. The new hybrid would be sired to the baby (or to Hayley as she's carrying the baby).

Why is there never any milk in this house?

Then Celeste had a premonition that the Original Mikaelson Baby will bring the end of all witches. At first I didn't understand what that meant until in later episodes we realize that the baby is a quarter witch and that cut Tunda's power channeling of Rebekah. So this baby may be able to do magic? Awesome!

Hail to the Queen, uhh, I mean King...

So all that remains is how the writers will make the baby more interesting when she comes into the world. Like Julie said, "Babies are boring." Maybe the baby will age to a certain point. All I know is, when this baby girl finally makes her appearance, she'll give Daddy Klaus a run for his money. He may be the king of the French Quarter but his daughter will become queen of everything.
