Dominion: The Other Archangels

"Stand with me or leave Vega."
We all know that there are other Archangel siblings. Michael mentioned Raphael and Uriel. They said they never wanted any part of the war, not wanting to fight against their fellow angels but I wonder if Michael or Gabriel will try and convince their other Archangel siblings to join the fight.

I wonder where Gabriel is right now... a library?

Uriel is supposed to make her debut in episode 4 "The Flood". Yes I said her. Uriel will be an Archangel sister on the show. Dominion just loves smart, strong women and that's what I love most about the show. But who's side will this warrior goddess be on? I did see a few leaked photos of Gabriel and Uriel talking. He could be trying to convince her to join him. Many of the higher angels stayed out of the first war but quite a few have joined Gabriel, but then there are the higher angels who live secretly in Vega and Michael lied about not knowing they were living among them. I'm sure Michael had his reasons. Michael so far was a one-angel army against Gabriel and his dogs so it would be nice if a few angels stood with him to even the odds.

Another Warrior Woman to add to the cast!

A little about the fourth Archangel: Uriel is only one of the names for him; he's also referred to as Phanuel, Azrael, or Metatron. Uriel is often an angel of repentance and that it was this Archangel that threw down his fiery sword to block the entrance way of Eden once he drove Adam and Eve out after they disobeyed God. In the Book of Enoch, Uriel was one of the Archangels who spoke in defense of humankind; wishing to stop the reign of the Fallen Grigori (Fallen Watchers) who took human wives and produced the Nephilim. And it was Uriel that warned Noah of the coming Deluge.

"So let's hear your pitch..."

The higher angels of the first war stayed neutral because they didn't want to fight against their fellow angels. Understandable. I wish humans could be morally conflicted like that more often. However, some of the higher angels also hated humanity and I think one of the reasons they joined Gabriel now is because Gabriel has some plan that could end the war and exterminate humans. Gabriel has been using humans to do his bidding and he hasn't gone after Alex yet. Gabriel believes that Alex will "willingly" come to him. Curious. Whatever his plan it seems crazy enough to work for higher angels like Furiad to join the Archangel Gabriel's crusade. But what about Raphael and Uriel? They have been quiet for a long time.

Eye for an Eye: don't mess with Gabriel's brother, Michael.

I see that out of the four of them, Gabriel and Michael are the most passionate Archangels. They may take different sides on what to do about humanity but they are the most zealous when it comes to fighting for what they believe in. Michael chose humans without question over the angels. I suppose Michael is one of the few angels that knows how to show mercy. Yet Uriel and Raphael haven't really voiced their opinion. Raphael is an angel of healing and healers usually prefer preserving life over destroying it, but I don't know how much of the Raphael from angel mythology that the writers will use for him if he shows up.

Michael could have used a wing man with actual wings there.

Let's face it, Michael is in need of some serious allies, especially now since he's on the mend after Furiad attacked him. The Archangel gave the closeted higher angels of Vega an ultimatum: stand with him or leave Vega. Some may join Michael but having another Archangel on his side would really tip the scales in his favor. Having another Archangel on either side would up morale for the armies they decide to lead. So I hope Michael can convince Uriel and Raphael to help him. Or maybe one sibling will side with Michael and the other with Gabriel making the family even more divided. All I know is that this second war is going to be bigger than the last one and could determine everyone's fate.
