Revolution: Red, White, Black & Blue

The "Three Amigos" episode revealed a lot I think in terms of who we should watch out for. Monroe wants to rebuild The Monroe Republic and turn it into some sort of monarchy where as the Patriots are drugging the populace with tainted oranges.

Down the rabbit hole we go.

The Patriots have been perfecting a program that conditions people into becoming loyal Patriots, so loyal that Jason was ready to kill his own father and the other boys tore apart some campers then left them to rot. Now that's for soldiers but what's in the oranges. We remember the time Rachel was about to be murdered by her old friend and he said that the Patriots want to make a cleaner America. What does that mean? I suppose the Patriots got the wrong message after reading 1984. Making a community more pliable and manageable seems smart now but as Tom Neville proved there is a way to break the Patriot hold.

Stop! Drop! & Roll!

Now we know Monroe can be extreme. He's got an all or nothing, self-destructive personality that was manageable because Miles was Bass's support system. However, Bass doesn't have that anymore so now he wonders around without a compass. Monroe lost his entire family and upon hearing that he has a son, Conner, Monroe has decided that maybe he can also rebuild the Monroe Republic. Crazy right? Well… remember who we're dealing with here. Upon their first meeting, father and son clashed but mostly because they are so much alike. Both are arrogant, alpha males with charisma and attitude. Conner made it clear that he doesn't want anything to do with his mess of a father but Monroe believes (blindly) that together father and son can rebuild an empire and that they could rule as an oligarchy or monarchy of some sort. Conner didn't feel the same way though.

Road trip!

Oh and who else wanted to punch Rachel in the face? I understand her anger at Monroe but Miles abused her just as much if not more and Danny made a choice to sacrifice himself for the safety of his family and friends. Rachel believes that Connor is how he is because he's Monroe's son; that it's genes. If that were true than by Rachel's crazy logic Charlie will end the world. Rachel has as much blood on her hands as anyone on this show. She and Ben are the reason millions are dead and it was Rachel's not so bright idea to turn the power back on because Randall took that opportunity to drop two nukes on two major cities. Rachel has this bad habit of throwing stones at glass houses. It's mostly because she lets her actions be run by emotions, which is why she screws things up. Charlie was smart to bring Monroe back. She let go of her anger because she realized Monroe's value. Rachel should take a lesson in her daughter's way of thinking, it'll spare her a lot of pain.

Rachel a prom queen? Well she's bitchy & self-centered enough

Sorry to trail off like that but I had to get it out. Anyway, it seems the Patriots and Monroe are the ones to watch this season. Aaron's off in Oklahoma but I believe he's there for a very important reason which will turn the tides against the Patriots and perhaps eventually against Monroe if he manages to get his way.
