Whatcha'ya gonna do when they come for you? |
We waited a long time for a new episode of Almost Human my little bots (well 3 weeks feel like forever) and I must say that it was worth the wait! "Simon Says" was an explosive comeback and all fans were aflame with excitement and laughter as John had to be the emotionally stable one for once while Dorian deals with his bi-polar personality.

I dropped the keys to this down the sewer! |
Speaking of shock collars, I would love to have a lot of YouTube views but this is extreme. It seems that serial killers are not extinct in the future as a man who can't take rejection well starts strapping bomb collars onto his victims (the ones who said "no" to him) then post it online to the sick amusement of his viewers. Wow, not only does this guy play hardcore simon says but he'll also go to extremes to be an internet celebrity like Chocolate Rain. Yet John isn't scared of this psycho. He keeps it cool even when he wakes up on a park bench with a bomb strapped to his neck. I guess a crude drawing of a dick is more preferable in this situation but crudeness aside, let's move on.
I got something in my teeth... |
Villains should learn that if you're going to kill a person by blowing them up then push the dead man switch instead of talking everybody to death. Also the serial killer always likes to focus on the person hunting them: John. Worst part is that this guy tried to say he and John were the same. Yeah John has a black mark but at least the bomb guy has all his real body parts and John is made of stronger stuff. Maldonado made sure to point that out for him when John was on the edge of that comparison. She can't have her best detective sinking into a depression; who would keep the city safe and Dorian from the scrap heap? Certainly not Detective Paul.
If only we had a manual for this thing. |
In the end, Dorian gets his wish, albeit bittersweet. He finally gets a place without the empty stares of the MXs but not as John's room mate, with lonely yet good hearted Rudy. Hey, it's better than showering with Ken Dolls or… whatever MXs do to get clean without getting wet.
Highlights were Dorian showing more emotion. Usually he's calm, cool, and focused but here he was erratic, bipolar and just funny. I think Michael Ealy was happy to have his character act more "human" than usual. Another highlight was seeing John and Dorian's relationship with more of a human dynamic; John being amused by Dorian's outbursts but also showing some concern for his wellbeing while Dorian went that extra mile to save his partner. Lowlights… not many. Almost none. Except seeing all those comments of people wanting the victims to die. "She deserves it!" Really? An ex-boyfriend perhaps? Then there's the smack at online dating, yet it would be a perfect ad for eHarmony.
Next week is about a bullet that never misses its target. This show just keeps getting more heart stopping each week!
