Dominion: Top 10 Favorite Scenes From Season 2

1 Last Warrior Pose Bitches!

Couple of days since the announcement of cancelation of Dominion. It's really sad because I feel that the show did more than earn a third season. I was going to do a Favorite Scenes of each episode of the season if Dominion was coming back but I'll settle for the top 10 out of all of season 2. There were so many incredible scenes but these stuck out the most for me.

Good Morning Vietnam!!!!!!!

     1. 2 Archangels 1 Homemade Toaster ("Lay Thee Before Kings"): Opening scene of this episode is perhaps my favorite. So full of tension but at the same time very entertaining. Julian had the 2 infamous Archangels Michael and Gabriel and he couldn't wait to use his new toy on them but neither of the Archangel twins showed any hint of fear. Acting wise Simon, Carl, and Tom were flawless. Julian's character reminds me of Gabriel from season 1: confident, maniacal and sadistic with an endless supply of snark and some hidden Daddy issues to go with it. Showing no fear, Michael and Gabriel traded Julian's ridicule and boasting with equally mocking comments at the Dyad's sly character. The dialogue alone made this scene memorable. I could listen to Julian and Gabriel trade sarcastic comments all day! Setting wise everything was on point. Fluorescent lights in a dusky garage with dark brooding colors and an endless cast of shadows was very horror movie. All 3 characters were wearing dark clothing. No sign of innocence there as all of them had blood on their hands so on that level they were all equal despite the fact that Julian was the one in control at the moment. Everything fits perfectly with a serial killer's basement type of feeling to give you a bit of chills.

Time to fly this crazy coop... Oh...

     2. Wings on Display ("Reap the Whirlwind"): Noma tearing her wings off was my favorite WTF?! moment. It was so shocking my heart stopped for a few seconds. In terms of character and dialogue this was an ultimate test of Noma's loyalty (and love) to Alex. Even Gabriel was surprised at Noma's ultimate sacrifice. Interesting how Gabriel was covered with heavy shadows while Alex and Noma were more or less more light. It could mean that even though they were all in the same boat but out of all 3 Gabriel was still an enemy. Or it could have been Gabriel's own darkness that he continued to wallow in. He remained bitter. He told Alex to find Michael and make a run for it. Gabriel may have been drenched in his own darkness but his love for his brother Michael remained a constant.

Hm 3 beautiful women, an archangel & a big bed...
I like where this is going ;)

    3. Gabriel and the Sirens ("The Longest Mile Home"): I like the sirens scene before the orgy scene. It showed Gabriel at his most vulnerable. Why have "Claire", "Arika", and "Noma" seduce the dark Archangel? Could be because Julian mentioned them before Gabriel went under. Or it could be because these 3 specific women opposed him, they represented the enemy in life as well as in Gabriel's mind. If Gabriel wouldn't surrender to his enemy Julian then why not to the 3 beautiful women that continued to spite him? It was only 1% attraction in my opinion. The scene revealed that deep down Gabriel feared being alone, he felt unloved and abandoned by his Father and his family and here were 3 people who "wanted" him. Add in fatigue from Julian's torture of electro-shock therapy and Gabriel gave up without any more fight.

They took our show AND my cookies

    4. This Too Shall Pass ("The Narrow Gate"): Some of the best flashbacks happened in season 2. My favorite was when Michael and Gabriel were attacking Sodom & Gomorrah. After Gabriel killed a human for the first time and Michael demoted Lyrae for his sadistic love of torture, Michael finally realized enough was enough. This was a huge turning point for Michael who for an eternity was God's instrument of wrath. He wanted Gabriel to punish him but he refused. Gabriel's own fire of compassion would go out soon enough but in that moment Michael took comfort in that flame. Gabriel gave Michael confidence that he could one day be redeemed. There was a moment where Gabriel was almost mesmerized by the blood that stained his hands. This wasn't a turning point for Gabriel but it was a dark foreboding about the future. I loved the heavy shadows (in fact the whole season was draped in heavy shadows half the time) and the prominent color of red (there was a rouge kind of tint mixed with the candle light and other soft lighting). Red capes and of course the blood. Red means a great many things in this case it describes an angel's nature: violent, passionate, and deeply troubled.

That dagger wasn't empyrean steel. Michael...

     5. Michael's "Swan Song" ("The Narrow Gate"): Michael and Gabriel had such a strong bond and my favorite part of this scene was when Michael stabbed himself in the heart and Gabriel felt it. Their bond was so enduring that no matter the distance they could feel each other in a very emotional moment. My own heart skipped for a moment. Michael was a man of deep regrets. Haunted by his past he would go to extremes to protect others and in this case he protected his new lover, Laurel as well as an innocent town that helped to redeem his faith in humanity. Of course only empyrean steel could kill an Archangel so Michael came out with only dust on his wings. Dialogue wise I was mesmerized by Michael's confession. Setting wise there weren't that many shadows except when we went to Gabriel on that cliff outside of New Delphi. Michael was in the light of the church, a sign of his redemption while Gabriel stayed in the darkness, a sign of his continued bitterness. A yin yang kind of scene. Loved every minute of it!

The moment my heart broke for Gabriel... again

     6. Gabriel's Ultimate Grief ("Lay Thee Before Kings"): Seeing Gabriel weeping over his foster son David's body broke my heart. No joke I cried! Carl Beukes really brought it this season as we delved deeper behind Gabriel's anger against mankind. Gabriel was once so happy and compassionate. He was even charged with raising David, God's chosen king of Jerusalem. Gabriel was as proud as any father and showed the same amount of grief that any father would have shown if their child died. The look on Gabriel's face when he saw David's broken and bloody body was devastating. He just shattered into a million pieces. That compassion quickly turned into resentment and bitterness. Carl delivered his lines perfectly as he sat in front of David's humble grave. It gave us a better understanding of Gabriel's hatred for mankind. It wasn't just God leaving that triggered a war but Gabriel's heartbreak that caused him to believe that humanity wasn't worth saving anymore. Setting wise as I've said before, very heavy shadowing in the scene in the hut to give us a sense of dread as we watched Gabriel break down. The tears were flowing for me.

Alex has a guardian angel looking out for him. Literally!

     7. Smile the Worst is Yet to Come ("Heirs of Salvation"): It's sad we won't be able to see Alex and Gabriel working together in a season 3. Would have been interesting as we've seen before in the first episode of season 2, Alex and Gabriel did more than butt heads. Starting with dialogue it was very acidic and heated. In season 1 Gabriel was very cool and confident but 3 months with Alex and he'd become unhinged. Gabriel was more impulsive as he made threats and ordered Noma's wings to be pinned. Yet despite the heat Alex remained cool. His tattoos began to move again but instead of cooperating Alex decided to continue to test the Archangel's patience by drawing a smiley face.

Those bitches blew up my evil club house

It was hilarious actually. After so much tension Alex's blatant mock of authority became like a stress reliever until Gabriel ordered for Noma's wings to be pinned. Then came the boom! Alex had a chance to kill Gabriel (though a nail even made of empyrean steal wouldn't have been enough) but Noma got him out before any of Gabriel's surviving henchmen could get to them first. Setting wise the many candles they had to light! Very phantom of the opera in my opinion but gone were the pillows, the velvet curtains. Gabriel's lair went from the Playboy Mansion from Babylon to a place of serious work with tables and bulletin boards covered with symbols. It showed that Gabriel was done playing games and was ready for the other part of his plan but he didn't count on Alex being so stubborn. If Alex wasn't going to take crap from Michael then he wasn't taking any from Gabriel. Gabriel learned that the hard way.

Some liquid courage? What are they looking at?

    8. A Conflict of Philosophies ("A Bitter Truth"): Michael and Gabriel scenes were the highlights of the series. Carl and Tom had such a chemistry that it brought a wave of emotions to every scene they did together. Even though they were on opposite sides Michael and Gabriel still managed not to kill each other. I guess you can say that they had little cease fires over the course of the war (though in this scene is started out violent). This was one where they mourned the loss of their sister, Uriel and debated about on their Father's Will. It happened in little pieces but I'm stringing them together as a whole. It's minor but I loved that they shared a flask between them. Nothing brings two people together better than alcohol. Loved that in the end Michael asked Gabriel to join forces with him. They had a very complicated relationship. I wouldn't call this alliance a marriage of convenience. For both brothers I think they hoped the other would change their minds or join the other after this rescue mission.  Dialogue was down right spot on in this scene. As I've said Carl Beukes and Tom Wisdom had a strong chemistry. Setting felt ideal out in the open air. The Archangels let themselves vent where nothing could get damaged except each other of course.

This guy was way too trusting or I suppose more optimistic

    9. A Hard Lesson Learned ("The Seed of Evil"): Shivani's character Arika was someone who was calm, calculating and in control but thankfully we got to expand on that character in season 2. Specifically to the last moment where Arika lost her father. She went from a sweet somewhat frightened girl to a fierce pragmatist. Arika seemed so timid but then when her heart was broken she changed completely. Very similar to when Gabriel completely changed after losing David. The most interesting aspect of the scene was when we zoomed out to see the name of the plane was Helena. Arika named the city after the plane in memory of her father; in short to remind her about the perils of trusting others and that survival was more important though Arika kept a slight compassionate view only for her own people. The emotion stood out most for me more than the setting.

Goodnight sweet Princess

   10. The Last Goodnight ("Sine Deo Nihil"): Claire's death scene had me choking up. I didn't expect Claire to die but she went down fighting. It was a very emotional scene between Alex and Claire. They had been through a lot together being driven a part by fate and losing a child. This loss hit Alex pretty hard. Enough to keep him on his knees until Noma got him to his feet. Alex realized before that he was really in love with Noma but Claire held a special place in his heart. I really can't think about it without coming to tears myself. Though a dark scene there weren't that many shadows instead Claire was in full light. Probably a sign of her "heading towards that bright light" so to speak. Her end was near but she wasn't going to leave Alex in shambles but instead gave him more comforting words to soothe him in her passing. Claire was always a selfless person especially when it came to people she loved. I think Claire's exit was perfect though very tragic.

   Honorable Mention:

Hello new Black Sheep! Let me be your guide!

I Believe... ("The Longest Mile Home"): Luke Allen-Gale's performance can't be forgotten. My favorite scene of him was when he was giving a sermon in the V1 bar. William came out of the desert a changed man; a crazier man that is. But there was a reason Gabriel chose him to be his spy and lead his Black Acolytes: William was a fantastic orator. When he talked people listened and the patrons of the bar were rapt by his eloquence and intensity of character. After you hear about how William was tortured by 8balls in the desert you kind of understand why he was willing to believe that he was the Chosen One. He experienced something horrible and wanted to find meaning in it like anyone who suffers a trauma such as that. Interesting how we were given clips to Gates and Riesen as William gave his speech. Gates coughs up blood and Riesen becomes a Dyad. William may have been sending a message of hope but in reality we knew things were going to get worse before they got better. Lighting was spot on (so to speak) with William in the light metaphorically and literally and everyone else at the edge of the light, waiting to be illuminated. Luke gave a fabulous performance. A shame William died in the end.

No more Dominion... The saddest 3 words I've ever heard

Never has a show inspired me this much or given me this much pleasure to watch or write about. Dominion was certainly a treasure and it'll remain one of my favorites forever. The writing was on point, the actors brought their A-Game (both new and familiar), and the music by Bill Brown helped tie the whole thing together to weave a fantastical story full of drama and emotion. As someone who loves story telling I wish we didn't end on a cliff hanger but the TV industry is a business first. Maybe Vaun can at least finish the story one day in a graphic novel. I would definitely read that! For now I'm content that at least we have 2 seasons (21 episodes in all) to enjoy. Thank you everyone who worked on this show! Your hard work paid off in my opinion.

OUAT: The Dark Swan Rises

Every Dark One is different I guess.
Lucky for Emma!

I don't know about you but I'm happy to see Jennifer Morrison playing the bad guy this season. It really shakes things up. Plus it was a long time coming. But the most interesting aspect of the story is the Dark One's dagger being a piece of Excalibur that somehow broke off to create the first Dark One. So what happened that caused Emma to go Dark Side?

AH-HAaaa...Ooooooh Where's the other half?

One of my theories is somewhere down the line Arthur finds out Emma's the Dark One and tries to steal the dagger. Of course he doesn't remember because like everyone else his memories from that time were erased (this is a disturbing reoccurrence for the residents of Storybrooke). For this we should hate Arthur right? Maybe...

At least she doesn't blame Henry for anything

This is one of those interesting stories where you have two sides of good vs good. Both sides have noble intentions but they may have to cross each other or out wit the other in order to achieve their noble goals. You don't know who to cheer for and if you do then you kind of feel bad about it. Arthur and Guinevere need the other half of Excalibur to save their kingdom (though they seem to be doing pretty well without it). Snow White and Charming need to get the Darkness out of Emma. I'm inclined to be Team Charming Family on this one.

The monster at the end of this book is... NOT Regina

Another interesting thing is how Regina is becoming the new Savior on the block. It actually makes the most sense if you think about it. No one said that it was a sure thing Emma would grow up to become the Savior. She had just as equal potential to become something evil like the Dark One. It's just that Snow White and Charming got that darkness out of Emma to give her a better chance. And yet despite all of their efforts Emma turned into the Dark One anyway. Karma? Fate? Who knows. All I know is that the Savior doesn't have to be born. Heroes are more often made. This would also be a great way for Regina to really redeem herself to the people of Storybrooke. Even though Regina is fully a part of the Charming Family she still saw herself as the Evil Queen. Even Grumpy was on board Regina the Savior Train by the end of episode 2.

If she says "Dearie" then we've truly lost Emma!

So what's Emma's plan and what else is coming to spread more darkness into Storybrooke? Well we know Emma plans to get rid of any trace of light in her. Sever her connection to her loved ones and family to go full on dark. The other threat? We'll need more pieces of the puzzle for that.

Arrow: Who Dies This Season?

The Green Arrow has arrived, bitches!

So finally saw the season 4 premiere of Arrow. As I've heard our favorite cigarette chewing Brit John Constantine will guest star this season (after being cruelly canceled by NBC) I was really excited to see Damian Darhk doing something mystical instead of going with the usual super power through radioactivity or bad guys on roid rage. BUT in the last scene of the premiere we see Oliver at a gravestone and I'm very afraid of who we're going to lose this season...

Felicity is living every fan girl's dream...

Oliver swore he would kill the one responsible for the death of his loved one so that means this person is very close to Oliver to break his no killing streak. One of two candidates is Thea. The other... Felicity.

Well her name is Speedy not Slow Poke

After 3 seasons of calling his sister by her pet name soon to be super hero alter ego it seems unlikely Thea would be killed off so quickly. Especially since Oliver went to so much trouble to bring her back from the dead. Malcolm was against Thea being dipped into the resurrection pool but he helped Oliver anyway. So I feel it's unlikely that Thea would be buried. Also she's just getting into the swing of this vigilante hero business and she still has a lot to learn. She has too much potential, story wise as well as hero wise to be killed off.

Felicity always saves the day with her well of wisdom

Which leaves us with the less savory option. Felicity Smoak. As an Olicity fan I abhor the very idea of Felicity even being in a coma! She and Oliver took 3 seasons to finally get together and now Oliver wants to propose! Unfortunately heroes aren't allowed to have a happily ever after (ask Batman who's many story lines the producers have taken... not that I mind personally). It's like an unwritten rule. Plus Felicity's death would definitely push Oliver to break his no killing vow. Oliver finally reached a place where he could have a healthy emotional relationship with someone who knows just what to say to pick him up whenever he's down or doubting himself. Taking away that kind of support would absolutely shake Oliver to his core.

As annoying as Laurel is it would be a mistake to kill
her off

Of course you're wondering why I don't suspect Diggle or Laurel. I feel like Captain Lance wouldn't have even allowed Oliver to the funeral and would have guarded that tombstone like a hawk. Despite Oliver's romance with Laurel they came to a point where they were better off as friends and they are both warriors now so burying a fellow fighter would be more like burying a fellow soldier. Salute then move on with the battle. The same with Diggle. ALSO Felicity would have been there. It would have been Felicity and not Barry who came late to the funeral after everyone else had gone. Barry and Felicity had... something I don't know. It seemed like romance but it always seemed to carry the coolness of friendship to me. So Barry would have certainly made an appearance at a funeral for Felicity.

Enjoy this while it lasts, Ollie....

I hope I'm wrong but I can't get rid of this sinking feeling that I'm right. If it is Felicity it better be a good death scene I can tell you that. I better be crying like I cried when Gabriel cradled little David's body in Dominion. Counting on you, writers!

Dominion: Character Journeys

"Need any help just ask!"
"Okay can you get SyFy to Renew Dominion?"
"Uhhhhhh We have a sale on energy drinks..."

I'm hoping SyFy is just waiting for the ratings of the season 2 finale episode before deciding on whether or not they should renew Dominion. Also I'm hoping we won't have to wait long and be tortured like last year. This season has out done season 1! It's been an unpredictable, emotional roller coaster with some pretty interesting character journeys. Some characters came out changed for the better while others... for the worst.

I can still scheme & plot with one hand

      1. David Whele

Season 1 saw David Whele as a cool, more composed ambitious politician who was ruthless in his pursuit of Vega. Yet he was also a bad father to William because of his resentment towards him; blaming William's crying for why the 8balls found them and murdered half their family. Yet by the end we see that David really did love William just never showed it until he saved his life (at least in David's eyes he believes he did).

Thank god someone from Tech Support survived!

Season 2, David seemed off mentally. He kept hallucinating William who acted as that negative voice in his head criticizing his lack of human empathy as well as just plain mocking him. David seemed less composed especially when criticizing Claire's politics. Then we saw David fall and watched as he tried to get back on top by blowing up half of Vega, dividing the city and starting a civil war. Zoe should have shot him in the head. Without William David was consumed with ambition because his love (twisted, complicated love) for his son wasn't "blinding" him as David put it. Yet as soon as David saw that William was alive he didn't want to abandon him again. He was even willing to leave Vega! David and Claire shared a moment in the War Room as the city was being attacked by Gabriel's new 8ball army. After facing his inner darkness David realized what a monster had been all those years and was willing to die to make up for it. David sacrificed William and it really hurt him to do so. "I've always loved you." "No... you didn't." David is at his lowest point right now and he wants to make up for the things he's done. He seems human again...

Dude, I INVENTED the poker face.
Lady GaGa ain't got nothing on me!

    2. Michael

Season 1, Michael was driven by this desire to redeem himself as well as humanity believing this would bring God back. A noble gesture but it was a selfish desire that fueled his actions driving a wedge between him and his surrogate son, Alex. Michael had a crisis of faith by the end after murdering his lover after finding out she was performing some fringe science on innocent higher angels.

None of us have showered for the past few weeks...

Season 2, Michael wandered the desert haunted by memories of killing his lover and hurting Alex. He felt as if he failed but his time in the mysterious town, Mallory with it's leader Laurel made him regain his faith in humanity and by extension in himself, his destiny. As a result he became determined to be a bit more humble and to follow Alex's lead. Michael's time in the Darkness was revealing in that while he started out only interested in the tattoos, he grew to love Alex like a son (something that Gabriel had experience with little David). Losing Alex is Michael's worst fear not because of the tattoos but because him dying would be like a piece of Michael dying as well.

Gabriel wants that Alex Skin Coat!

      3. Gabriel

Season 1, we saw Gabriel as the consummate evil villain out to destroy humanity all because Daddy left. Gabriel did love humanity at first but after a while he couldn't see past their mistakes. Cut and dry. Not really...

Daddy left on Christmas. Somehow that makes it more sad

Season 2, Gabriel was much less composed at the start of season 2. He seemed more impulsive, no control of his anger and a bit unraveled. (Should we blame Alex's difficult attitude for testing the limits of the evil Archangel's patience? Ha ha! Just asking...) It got to the point where Gabriel wanted to skin Alex alive (though if Alex died the skin would be useless because either way the tattoos seem to be linked to Alex). We got to see more of Gabriel's past and discover that his hatred for mankind started to manifest when his foster son, David, was murdered by the jealous King Saul after saving the people from the terrifying giant, Goliath. It was a turning point that would make anyone question God, humanity, etc. Are humans even worth saving if all they ever do is ruin things with their self destructive tendencies? Maybe not... Out of revenge Gabriel slaughtered the new David and his whole family (first by kicking the impostor out a window, poetic justice!). Now we see Gabriel is an angel filled with pain and emotional suffering. His biggest fear revealed: being alone. Gabriel seemed sure of only one thing: Michael's love for him until Julian infested Gabriel with the Darkness, amplifying his agony, fear, and hatred. Gabriel let loose all the resentment he kept inside over the centuries releasing his fury on Michael but would he really kill him? If Gabriel kills Michael then he truly will be alone so perhaps not. If so then he's stuck with Lucifer and no way Gabriel can face him alone.

I can't really read any of this math scale stuff but
I guess we're close to finding these rebels...

     4. Claire Riesen

Season 1, Claire was a reluctant princess. She didn't want the responsibility but when faced with the choice she chose to give her heart to Vega and sacrifice her love for Alex. Claire is just full of surprises...

David's had more guns in his face than whiskey shots
this season...

Season 2, Claire was left with the mess of Vega her father left. After 3 months, Vega faced civil unrest turning into an all out civil war that split the city in half, literally! In my opinion Claire proved worthy of the title Lady of the City. Very inspiring. She did face some inner demons in the face of personal tragedies. Claire impulsively killed Zoe after her miscarriage, believing she was responsible but turns out Zoe wasn't the one who ordered to have Claire shot during their summit. Claire deeply regrets what she did to Zoe and it's one of her most controversial moments. She should have killed David in the War Room but she didn't. I feel like Claire's rash murder of Zoe made her more wise in controlling her emotions or maybe after hearing David spout all of his human feelings how losing his family essentially left him a hollow shell Claire didn't want to become him by letting her personal tragedy consume her. That's how I choose to see it anyway. Claire has proven herself a strong person and like Alex, she can make people follow her wherever she goes.

It's good to be the Queen

        5. Arika

Season 1, Arika was very calculating. A cold hearted manipulating ice queen that you couldn't trust. The only side Arika was on was her own. We didn't know much about her to make any other judgements...

Put down the gun, girl. You're gonna hurt somebody

Season 2, we saw a more vulnerable Arika. She showed some protectiveness of Claire and we saw glimpses of her past where she was an innocent girl who lost her parents and had to step up to lead (kind of like Claire! No wonder she liked her). Arika's traumatic experiences changed her in a way that forced her to be this cold hearted person who had to destroy someone else in order to survive. The veil was pulled back a little and we saw a more broken Arika and during the Darkness she was forced to face her sins and worst fears. Arika's first act after surviving the Darkness was to find Claire to make sure she was okay and you could see the change where Arika was weaker, more frightened. Arika was set to go home until she came across a little girl that survived the Darkness. In that moment, Arika changed. Her heart melted and we may see a less selfish Arika who may become more her father's daughter in the future.

First corpse of the episode. Awesome

        6. Alex Lannon

Season 1, Alex was a very reluctant hero. He didn't want to be the Chosen One, to sacrifice his own desires but it's in Alex's nature to want to help others. So naturally Alex stepped up...

I think there are directions on here on how to close it...

Season 2, Alex's time with Gabriel was hard but it made him realize that he was very important. He came out of the bombing with more self worth at least in his tattoos and how valuable they are. It fueled his determination to save humanity. I feel like this new drive is what reactivated the tattoos and allowed Alex to perform more successful evictions. Michael says Alex is the last pure heart, which is why Alex didn't have any visions in the Darkness but the prophecy says that Alex also had the power to destroy mankind. It's not that Alex is a bad person. He seems to be the only real good guy in this world but after seeing him lead Michael into a trap to get to Gabriel I feel like Alex will do the wrong thing for the right reason. His desire to kill Gabriel may do more harm than good. Even if Gabriel dies that doesn't mean the higher angels on his side will quit. Someone much worse could always take his place. Hopefully Alex choses mercy which is always the hardest path.

So... are they dating again?

     7. Noma

Season 1, there didn't seem much to Noma. She was just one of Alex's friends but after revealing that she was a higher angel we saw that she was more important than we realized.

Like tearing wings off a butterfly... Poor Butterfly...

Season 2, I feel like we got to know Noma a little better and love her more. We see that she's extremely loyal. She tore off her wings to save Alex! That was very hard for her to do. It still hurts her but she manages to still put Alex first. Last episode we saw that in a flashback, Noma was actually a double agent working for Gabriel at the start of the Extermination War. But we know she changed her mind thankfully. She didn't expect to fall in love with Alex and I have no doubt about Noma's loyalty. She is unwavering, which makes me fear for her character. I hope she doesn't die!

Usually family reunions are followed by some punching

       8. William Whele

Season 1, William had huge daddy issues and a dark side that he kept hidden behind his stunning smile. I was always caught between wanting to give him a hug or just smacking him in the head. That feeling never stopped in season 2...

8balls love dressing up like bikers from an 80s heavy metal
music video

Season 2, We first didn't know William's fate because David's hallucinations had us believing that maybe William killed himself or he was killed in the desert. But then we discover that William was actually captured and tortured by a pack of 8balls. They did horrible, sick things to him that twisted William who needed to justify those appalling things. He deluded himself into thinking that he was the Chosen One, convincing other people as well. After the Darkness, William just snapped. He was bent on killing everyone in Vega which led to David killing him. I could never really hate William because he was essentially a good guy who was abused and neglected as a child and in need of a father figure. Then he was used by Gabriel and David. He's more a victim really. To be honest I would have loved to see William do his false prophet thing and see how Alex handled that issue but feels like we're pointing to Mallory and Lucifer. Need a season 3 to expand on that!

Edward Riesen may out live ALL of us

       9. Edward Riesen

Season 1, the General seemed a calculating politician who only wanted the best for Vega. I respected him although I never agreed with his methods on running the city. Some shocking things we've discovered about Riesen: he was keeping an 8ball mistress, Clementine. Riesen may have been a pragmatist but we also realized that his love for his 8ball wife was his one major weakness. His love for Clementine eclipsed his love for Vega and even Claire! He just could never bring himself to put an end to Clementine. This drove a wedge between Riesen and his daughter. So much so that the General drove away from the city leaving it in his dust.

I respect him even though I don't like his methods

Season 2, Edward looked very worn and tired this season. He did have a heart condition though but he was still going strong. He survived longer in the 8ball insane asylum/prison than anyone would have expected. He was also very helpful to Alex when they had to get an upper hand over on Julian. We looked into Riesen's past to see that he was really a civilian working for the military who just so happened to be very smart. His knowledge of military history and natural cleverness made him a great general and I have a whole new respect for him which faltered when Edward agreed to become a dyad and told Julian where Noma hid the amphora of Darkness. Damn it, Edward! Once Gabriel killed Clementine, Edward lost his grip succumbing to the higher angel Duma. Claire's truly an orphan now.

Still waiting... COME ON, SYFY!

I really want SyFy to renew Dominion because it has such potential to be great! It really stepped up this season with story lines and characters: new and old. The ratings have picked up considerably in the past weeks and Dominion just deserves another season. It's unique, dark, and hits me in all the right places in my heart. Please Renew Dominion, SyFy!
