The Originals: We Finally Meet Tatia!

                 We were all wondering who the Original Petrova Doppelgänger was. Although we know now that Amara was the Original Original Petrova in a whole other curse but that's too confusing to go into right now. Ever since Tatia was first mentioned in Season 3 in The Vampire Diaries as not only the woman used to turn the Originals into vampires and used to put the Hybrid curse on Klaus but she was also Elijah and Klaus's first love. Tatia will appear in a flash back in episode 5 of The Originals.

           Nina Dobrev has impressed us with her amazing acting skills in taking on different personalities for each Petrova Doppelgänger and making us believe that there's a different actress every time. Now she'll be bringing Tatia to life and from interviews with the actress we find that Tatia was one of the "purest" of the doppelgängers. We all know that each doppelgänger may look the same but they have different personalities (although as Katherine once said that Elena had the "Petrova Fire" so one other similarity). Tatia already had a child by another man so we could see Nina playing with a child in the flash back.

       Nina says that there will be some steamy scenes but also mixed with dialogue. Nina gets to kiss all the hot guys I'm so jealous! I always liked the chemistry between Nina and Joseph and Daniel too. There was an odd spark between the three of their characters and I think that's mostly to do with the Mikaelsons' connection with Elena's ancestor, Tatia whom both men loved with a passion. So much that it caused a rift between the brothers. Esther was a powerful witch (apparently not powerful enough to keep her abusive husband in line) and decided to kill two birds with one stone. By using Tatia's blood (already a doppelgänger and their blood is a potent binding agent) Esther was able to turn her children into vampires and then Tatia's death completely removed her from the brothers' reach as well as binding Klaus with the hybrid curse. 

Elena's the only Petrova the Mikaelson Brothers weren't
romantically involved with.

            As far as I know, Nina Dobrev will only be Tatia for episode 5 of The Originals so in one TVD episode you won't see much of Elena. When actors have other engagements their characters aren't given much screen time or they don't appear in the episode at all. We can only wonder what the circumstances will be or the excuses given for Elena's absence or little screen time. Can't wait to see it!
